What is NDIS Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)?
SDA is a flagship NDIS housing category, designed for people with disability who need specialised housing features — wider doorways, ceiling hoists, or reinforced walls, for example — so they can live in the community with the right level of support. Eligible participants receive SDA funding in their plan to choose their housing, and Admire Care helps guide that process from first enquiry onward.

What is NDIS respite accommodation?
The level of care depends on your plan, and you may share a support worker with other guests to make the most of your funding. Admire Care offers flexible respite stays with a support worker on hand throughout.

You need very high support needs, an inability to source suitable housing independently, and typically a requirement for 24/7 care. Participants who meet all three are generally eligible for SDA.
Individual participant plans fund SDA. Upon receiving funding from the NDIS, eligible participants can find a suitable enrolled dwelling by approaching the market, residential statement, or SDA supply available in their location.
First and foremost, you'll need to go through the NDIA's Informing Housing Solutions process to get the approval for SDA funding and support. However, the simplest and quickest option is to get in touch with Admire Care officials, who can help you with the same.
SIL refers to the NDIS support provided while staying at home. In contrast, SDA is all about the physical home, such as your house modifications to accommodate your specific needs.

You need not have to pay any cent to your plan manager as it's free of charge, and the NDIS pays for your Plan Manager.
